“Sounds of the Hills 2011” Fiesta on Saturday 3rd September, 2011
Dear Antonians,
We are just few days away from the “Sounds of the Hills 2011” Fiesta, scheduled for Saturday 3rd September, 2011 at the CR & FC grounds Colombo. This is an event organized for the Past Pupils of Kandy Schools, their Families and friends to come together which also gives an opportunity to renew their memories of the era at school.
2011 Event is organized by the Past Pupils of St.Silvester’s College, Kandy and St.Anthony’s Convent, Kandy and they are working busier than bees to make this year’s event a memorable one to all. The Organizing committee is Chaired by - Mahasen Wijeyaratne & Dharshika Perera.
Here are some things to note.
The Walk
Assemble time 2.30 p.m – start time 3.30 p.m
Assemble point outside the main gate to CR&FC
Find the Antonian Sign Board and assemble at the assembly point. College T-Shirts will be available for sale at the assembly point. All Antonians are requested to wear a College T-Shirt for the event.
We invite all Antonian Batch / Groups to participate at this event.
We require a minimum of 50 Antonians to gather at the Assembly point for the Walk.
Bring along fellow Antonians - the largest contingent of the participating school, will win a prize
Entrance/Registration desks
Six desks will be available for registration purposes .
Each of the six desks will be shared by the two schools grouped for
the “Reedhi Reyak” contest, i.e.
1. Mahamaya College & Dharmaraja College
2. Girls High School & Kingswood College
3. Good Shepherd Convent & St. Anthony’s College
4. Pushpadana College & Vidyartha College
5. Hillwood College & Trinity College
6. St. Anthony’s Convent & St. Sylvester’s College
The ticket counters will be at the entrance to the ground (as in the past). Entrance Tickets are priced at Rs.200/- per participant.
Tickets are available with Jude Pillai the Antonian representative for the event.

The Opening Ceremony
Dress code for hoisting of flags – informal
Kandy Schools Reedhi Reyak
Event time : 7.30 - 8.30 p.m. – event order
Group 1 – Mahamaya / Dharmarajah - 10 minutes
Group 2 – Good Shepherd / St. Anthony’s College – 10 minutes
Group 3 - St. Anthony’s Convent / St.Sylvester’s – 10 minutes
Group 4 – Hillwood / Trinity – 10 minutes
Group 5 – Pushpadana / Vidyartha – 10 minutes
Group 6 – High School / Kingswood – 10 minutes
Kindly note that, at the Reedhi Reyak event, the School grouped as above is required to perform a dance act, to a selected song from a list of 3 songs offered. It would require a practice session with the partner of the grouped school. We require Old boys with talent to dance, to come forward in order to participate in the dance act. Get in touched with Jude Pillai to know more about it.
Food Stalls
The Fiesta will go on until late in the evening and food stalls will be available in plenty where participants could purchase all that they need.
