OBITUARY MR ARTHUR LOWDON

Dear All,

It is with deep  sorrow  that I write to inform that Arthur Lowden an Old Boy of St Sylvesters College  Kandy  passed away. He  died of a Heart Attack day before yesterday. His brothers Charlie Paul and Rommel Paul were At St Anthony's from 1962 to 1974. They were day scholars who came to College from Watapuluwa. Charlie was my class mate and Rommel was with my brother Kevin right throughout. Charlie and I were team mates in the First Eleven Cricket teams of 1972 1973 and 1974.

Arthur's sister is Joan married to Chandra  one of the most senior planters in the country. Arthur was a supporter of College because his brothers were Antonians. I  have a vague memory that he obtained membership in the SACKOBA  Colombo  Branch. Arthur was a legend. His sense of humour was unmatchable. Arthur and I were colleagues in Monaro Grroup 4 Security Services Ltd for a number of years and both of us help raise Monaro India together and were based in Chennai in view of this task. He lived life to the full. Arthurs son is a banker and his beautiful daughter is an air hostess.

His remains now are in the parlour of A F RAYMONDS  BORELLA His  funeral is on Sunday 25th  Sept  at 4pm at the Crematorium. Prayers start at 3 pm at the  Parlour. Please try to come and say a last farewell.
