Here's what we guys did.... Three Boxes of books were donated by Ranjith Samaranayake to Rev. Fr Araliya Jayasundra at Tissa Vidyalaya inside the Dockyard at Trinco to be distributed to school children in Trinco area, English Books mind you for the development of English. Ranjith also donated English Books to the Head of the Education Department, Trinco. Further Ranjith Samaranayake and Shane Balthazaar donated a number of books to the Bishop's House Trinco, Jesuit House Trinco, Army persons at Seruwila Temple and Mr. Hettiarachchi the owner of Tranquility Gguest House Cabana at Vakarai. in the East Coast of our beautiful motherland. Clinton Perera, Rohana Werapitiya, Ranjith Samaranayake and Shane Balthazaar went on this goodwill cum gala time trip on 8th, 9th, and 10th July. We visited Mawilaru where the final war with the LTTE began. The Navy were very helpful. We visited Dockyard Trinco Museum and went around the Trinco harbour in a Naval water jet at 75km an hour. We visited Koneswaram Temple, Lovers Leap Fort Frederick, Kinniya, Muthur, Seruwawila , Verugal, Vakarai and on the way back, Polonnaruwa and Minneriya (lots of Elephants). The beach at Vakarai, was Paradise on earth. We had a superb sea bath. The roads and bridges are lovely. The Rajapaksa regime has done so much for Sri Lanka. The winning of the war was his greatest achivement. He never changed his policy. That's why we won and hats off to the Forces. The Army at Vakarai showered us with the best of hospitality. All in all, the book donations were a great thing on behalf of the Antonian Veterans. Attached are a few photos. More photos with Rohana Werapitiya and Clinton Perera the Secretary and President respectively of the Antonian Veterans are Still to come. Great cause, super trip.....AND MORE TO COME. Warm Regards,
